EDDIE FIELDS

October 31, 1929 - April 21, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Eddie LeeRoy Fields, age 84, died Monday, April 21, 2014, after a period of declining health. He was born October 31, 1929 in Gotebo, OK to Lloyd and Lillian (Grant) Fields. He grew up in the community of Lake Valley, OK and was a graduate of Lake Valley High School. He proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. Eddie attended Central State College where he received his Bachelor's Degree in Education. He taught at Capitol Hill High School for nineteen years before going to work for Teacher's Credit Union, retiring in 1991. He was a longtime member of Wheatland UMC. He loved to work in his garden and was an avid Sooner sports fan. Preceded in death by his parents and wife Alma, he is survived by four sons Eddie Lloyd of Houston, TX, Michael Wayne and wife Brenda of Loveland, OH, Larry Duane and wife Maggie of Mustang and Glen Ray of OKC. Also by six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother Jimmy Fields of Yukon and one sister June Williams of Hobart, OK. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to: The Bella Foundation at PO Box 20035, OKC, OK 73156 or the . Memorial services will be held at 2pm on Saturday, April 26, 2014, at St. John's Episcopal Church, 5401 N. Brookline, OKC. Arrangements are by McNeil's Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, Oklahoma.
