EUGENE GLOVER

Jan 8, 1922 - Nov 22, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Eugene, 90, was called to his Heavenly home November 22, 2012. The son of Samuel & Martha Glover, he was born on January 8, 1922, in Little Rock, AR. Eugene honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy and Air Force during WWII and the Korean Conflict. He provided a warm and loving home for his family by working as a Fire Inspector at Tinker AFB for 35 years before retiring, then he went to work at Love Box Co. He married the love of his life, Mattie Ella Anderson, on New Year's Eve and together shared more than 63 years of marriage. He was a member of the Baptist Church and, in his spare time, enjoyed hobbies like washing his car and Sooner football. He was Scout Master for Troop 22 south OKC. He was a Mason with the Westwood Lodge. Eugene will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his four siblings, Sam, Bill, Johnny and Mary. He leaves cherished memories with his loving son, Eugene "Gene" Glover, Jr., and wife, Linda, of Dallas, TX; and many nieces and nephews. Services to celebrate his life were held at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 26, 2012, at the South Colonial Chapel.
