Oct. 29, 1922 - May 12, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY On Sunday morning, May 12, 2013, Evelyn Louise Holtzclaw celebrated her last Mother's Day on earth with her children by her side. That afternoon, she celebrated her first day in Heaven. Evelyn Hoover was born on October 29, 1922 in Edmond, Oklahoma to Art and Christine Hoover. She married the boy across the street, James Ralph Holtzclaw, on July 8, 1943. Ralph and "Evvie" were deeply devoted to each other, a loving couple that remained 'sweethearts' till the day Ralph died. Evelyn dedicated her life to Jesus Christ when she was 12yrs. old. She shared her faith in Christ with everyone she met, not only by words, but by the way she lived her life, her positive attitude, her attendance in church and her loving, generous spirit. Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband Ralph, her son Ronny and grandsons Ron Jackson, Brandon Bogle and Casey Lewis. She is survived by her children Don and Debi Holtzclaw, Marilyn and Tom Jackson, Lana and Russell Jones, Debby and Tim Bingham, Linda Holtzclaw and 'adopted' son Jerry Stingley, 23 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Services will be held on Thursday, May 16, at 2:00pm, at The Bridge Church, Mustang, OK, with interment following at Memorial Park Cemetery, Edmond, OK.
