JACK BRIDGES

Dec 19, 1924 - Jan 24, 2013 CHOCTAW Jack W. Bridges died peacefully on Jan. 24, 2013. Jack was 88 years old. He was born and raised in Ardmore, OK. Jack worked for Sinclair Pipeline for 41 years in Missouri, Illinois, Texas, Kansas and Oklahoma, moving to Choctaw in 1977. His interests included coaching Little League baseball, hunting and fishing. Most of all, Jack was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend. His ready smile and quick wit, loyalty and reliability made him a rock of support for his extended family and friends. He is survived by two daughters, Terry Bridges and Charla McCracken; two stepsons, Doug Bushong and Danny Patton; his brother, Donald Bridges; his dearly beloved mother-in-law, Mary Dever; seven grandchildren, Sarah Martin and Mary Johnson, Coral Lewis and Trinity McCracken, Tina Myers, Lyndsey and Tara Bushong; two great-grandchildren, Jordan Owen and Caleb Canady; and an extended family of sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceding him in death was his cherished wife, Dorthy; his mother and father, Clara and Ira Bridges; and seven brothers. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 30 at Candlewood Chapel under the direction of Ford Funeral Service.
