Jeanette suffered from heart failure while recovering from a recent illness at ManorCare Health in Oklahoma City. Born February 18, 1955 in Gorman, Texas, Jeanette was raised by her grandmother, Elizabeth Jackson. As a child, she began a lifelong love of creative pursuits learning to draw, paint, sing, write, and sew. Jeanette's love of creativity expressed itself in recent years through the many crafts that she taught her grandchildren. After graduating from Gorman High School in 1973, Jeanette married Don Duncan, and became mother to three loving children, Carrie, Joshua, and James. Jeanette and her family lived in Texas, Wyoming, Montana, and moved to Yukon, Oklahoma in 1987. Throughout her life, Jeanette participated in many community programs and charities. After separating from her husband, Jeanette worked in child care, becoming a child care teacher at Canadian Valley Vo-Tech, and a favorite of the students there. Jeanette most recently worked at the Hertz Corporation, in their Roadside Assistance Department. Moving to her home in Bethany, Oklahoma in 2001, Jeanette spent her recent years just as she spent her life, working hard, and caring for her family, which came to include six grandchildren.
