August 27, 1922 - January 10, 2013 DUNCAN J.L. Whitehead was born Aug. 27, 1922 in Whitesboro, TX to James E. and Armanda Whitehead. They soon moved to Oklahoma where he spent most of his life living in Duncan and Bing, OK. For the last 10 years he lived in Canyon Lake, TX where he passed away Jan. 10, 2013. J.L. was a loving husband to Ethelene 1943-1987 and Betty 1993 to present, and was a great family man. A father to two sons, Jerry (Paula) and Marcus Ray (Evette); step-father to 5 daughters. Vicki Gregory, Annie Carr, Brenda Roughton, Rebecca Dyer, and Kay Dyer; 4 grandchildren. Chris, Brandon, Kristen, and Brittany; 1 great-grandson, Carter; 12 step-grandchildren; and 4 step-great-grandchildren. J.L. served in the Navy during World War II and his funeral was held Jan. 23, 2013 at Fort Sam Houston, TX.
