LEROY RIDER

Nov 20, 1934 - Jan 23, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Leroy Marlin Rider, 78, of Oklahoma City, passed away January 23, 2013. He was born on November 20, 1934, to Noble and Wavie Rider in Oklahoma City. Leroy heard his country's call and served in the United States Army. He enjoyed fishing. Leroy had been a carpenter for the past 50 years and was a part of the Carpenters Union. Most of all, Leroy loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Doris Rider; two sons, Scott Rider and wife Lori, and Tracy Rider; eight grandchildren: Taylor, Kaitlyn, Jillian, Casey and Kailey Rider; Ryan, Matt and Dru Fream; one brother, Kenneth Rider and wife Sue; and one sister, Ruby Jennings. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Dorothy Callahan. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, January 25, 2013, at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Oklahoma City, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
