Schoemann-LambSept. 15, 1933 - Nov. 2, 2012, OKLAHOMA CITY Funeral service for Lois June (Rother) Schoemann-Lamb, 79, Oklahoma City, will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Sterling Baptist Church with Reverends Bob and Eric Willis, officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. View Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the funeral home. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mrs. Schoemann went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 2, 2012, in Oklahoma City. She was 79 years, 1 month, and 18 days old. Lois June (Rother) Schoemann was born September 15, 1933 in Flat Lick, KY, to George and Dewey (Stacey) Rother. She attended Sterling Public Schools where she excelled in basketball. On February 25, 1949, she married Frank B. Schoemann of Wanette. Frank preceded her in death on October 17, 2004. She was a devoted wife, mother, and "Grancie". June enjoyed a career at Ft. Sill where she received many honors and was recognized for her work in the Logistics Missile section of the Defense Department. On April 25, 2009, June married Ed Lamb of Oklahoma City. They enjoyed over 3 wonderful years of travel and other activities together. This union added years to her life?and life to her years. Absolute joys in her life were her 5 grandchildren and her 17 great grandchildren. June loved her family and had a strong faith in her Lord Jesus Christ. She will be missed on earth by all of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ed Lamb of the home; 2 daughters, Lynn Willis and her husband Robert of Edmond and Sherry Morris and her husband James of Round Rock, TX; 1 son, Larry Schoemann and his wife Betty of Goddard, KS; 1 sister, Lou Revel of Oklahoma City; 5 grandchildren, Eric, Shannon, Jason, Kristi, and Mandi; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Frank Schoemann; her parents, George and Dewey Rother; 4 brothers, Teet, BJ, George, and Jimmy Rother; and 2 sisters, Evelyn Bridges and Helen Townsend.
