Aug 16, 1943 - Oct 21, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY
Paula died as she lived, without fear or compromise. After a nine-year fight with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, Paula went home to God to be with her sister, Barbara Sullivan; and parents, Don and Helen Fleury; along with several beloved pets. She left behind a very loving husband of 49 years, Fred E. Davis. She will be daily missed by her daughter, Sonja R. Ford, and son-in-law, John L. Ford; as well as her son, Tony B. Davis, and his children, Zachary, Kyle and Lily. She also left behind numerous nieces and nephews and extended family who loved her. After Paula and Fred raised two children, they unselfishly took in and raised their beloved grandson, Joshua Davis, who has a special place in their heart. Paula lived life to its fullest from fast cars and bikes to skydiving. She began a career in insurance but with luck ended her employment working for Oklahoma City Police Department as a records officer. She was very proud of her relationship with law enforcement and her community work. Paula became family to the wonderful staff and residents at the Heritage Park Nursing Home, who helped Paula during her hardest fight her last two years. Paula donated her body to science in order to help study the effects of Alzheimer's and Parkinson's diseases and continue her giving spirit even after death. There will be a family dinner at a later date. Life will never be the same without you, mom.
