Richard (Dick) David Crosley, U.S. Naval Officer, Vietnam veteran, writer, and world traveler, passed away on September 13, 2013. Dick was born on Christmas Day 1937 to L.W. and Helen Crosley and attended Northeast High School in Oklahoma City. He joined the Navy at 17, served for 16 years, and achieved the rank of lieutenant commander. After his naval career, he earned a teaching degree from the University of Central Oklahoma, Edmond, OK, and taught in Stillwater, OK. Dick also worked for Channel 4 in Oklahoma City as a camera operator and producer. He later became a television producer and technical writer for railroad and petroleum corporations, producing educational training videos on topics specific to each industry. Dick had a great sense of humor, was kindhearted, and enjoyed spending time with friends. His ability to sit down and have a conversation with almost anyone served him well during his time in the Navy and throughout the rest of his life. He is survived by his son, Martin David Crosley; his brother, Harold Crosley Sr.; his sister, Sue Evans; and numerous nephews and nieces. His parents preceded him in death. Services will be held on Monday, September 23, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Baggerley Funeral Home, 930 South Broadway in Edmond, OK.
