THOMAS HAIDEK

Haidek, Sr. June 23, 1931 - Dec 24, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Thomas Nash Haidek (Gwaltney) was born June 23, 1931, in Stilwell, Oklahoma, to Thomas Nash Gwaltney, Sr. and his wife, Gladys Lucille Tilden. Later, after he was grown, his name was changed to Haidek. Thomas Nash Haidek passed away on December 24, 2012, at the Cedar Creek Nursing Home in Norman, OK, where he had been a resident for five months. He attended Central High School in Oklahoma City and graduated from there in 1948. He went to OU for two years. He worked for OG&E for twenty years from 1951 to 1971. He started his own surveying instrument business and ran Haidek Surveying Instrument Co. until it was closed down in 2006. In 1950, he married Martha Ann Da Lee at Wanette, OK. They were joined in marriage by his grandfather, Rev. Fred F. Tilden. Thomas and Martha had one child, a son, Thomas Nash Haidek, Jr., born in 1951. He worked in the family business until his death in 1998. Thomas was predeceased by his mother and father and son. He is survived by his wife, Martha; his daughter-in-law, Leslie Haidek; and his grandson, Thomas Anthony Haidek. The funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK.
