VIVIAN BRIDGWATER

October 14, 1937 - November 11, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Vivian Fae Bridgwater, 75, died November 11, 2012 at her Oklahoma City home. Vivian was born October 14, 1937 to Rufus Milton and Ruby Eleanor (Friedlund) Woods in Kalvesta, KS. She was raised in the Kalvesta area where she attended grade school and graduated from Cimarron, KS High School in 1955. She received her Associate's degree from Bethany Nazarene University. She married Donald Bridgwater in 1958 and to that union were born two children: Jeffrey and Shelly. She worked in the Accounting and Payroll fields for many years in Cimarron, KS, Austin, TX and Oklahoma City, OK.Vivian's life was filled to overflowing with family, friends and co-workers. She was absolutely devoted to her children and grandchildren. Whatever they were about, she was about. She also loved a good joke or prank -- even when at her expense. Her servant heart meant that no task was too big or too small -- at work, at church or at home. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00pm on Thursday, November 15th, at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany, OK. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, November 16th, at Lakeview Park Church of the Nazarene, Oklahoma City, OK, with graveside service to follow at the Bethany Cemetery.Vivian was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers: Virgil, Gerald and Larry Lee Woods. She is survived by her two children and their families: Jeff & Margaret Bridgwater and Shelly & Don Glass of Oklahoma City; and five grandchildren: Lindsay, Mackenzie & John Paul Bridgwater, and Hannah & Daniel Glass; four brothers and two sisters and their families: Leonard & Emily Woods and Linda & Mike Rankin of Dodge City, KS, Rufus Jr. & Ramona Woods and Ben & Alicia Woods of Cimarron, KS, Wilford & Shirley Woods of Kalvesta, KS, and Glenda & Gayle O'Bleness of Alva, OK; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.Memorial contributions can be made to: Commission Unto Mexico, Southern Nazarene University, 6729 NW 39th, Bethany, OK 73008.
