Mary Lee Reed (Blankenship) of Oklahoma City stepped over the line to be with God on September 18, 2001, after a courageous fight with cancer. She was born June 24, 1932 to Miriam and Lex H. Blankenship. She is survived by her two sons; Allan Paine and Lex Paine both of Oklahoma City, her constant four-legged companions; Tina & Missy and two brothers; Jack Blankenship of Longview, WA and Gene Blankenship of Oklahoma City. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Reed and brother, Lex Blankenship, Jr. Two of Mary's many artistic talents were quilting and gardening. As family and friends will attest Mary's greatest talent and gift was in the kitchen where she not only cooked for them but over the years taught them how to feed ther families as well. Nobody ever left Mom's house hungry. Quick with a smile and a hug our kind, giving and loving Mother will be missed by all who knew her. Mom's life was spent caring for family and friends. Her greatest joy in life was seeing her sons succeed in life, Allan with his own plumbing company and Lex working with Boldt Construction. She was most proud of their efforts during the aftermath of the Murrah Building bombing. A graveside service will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Garden, Oklahoma City, Friday, September 2l at 10:00 a.m.
