I just read Mike's obituary on the PCBBC site. I am sorry for your loss. I attended PCBBC from 1974-1977, and remember that you and Mike were very friendly people who really loved the Lord. May God continue to comfort you and your family.

Sue,
This is months late and I don't even know if you will get it, but I just learned of Mike's death today. I was on the HBBC website and saw the memorial video. I am so sorry for your loss, but the Mike Thomas I remembered is kicking his heels up in Heaven as he worships our Lord Jesus Christ. My prayers will be with you. You may remember me from PCBBC -- I worked for you in the library in 1983 and 1984!

We were lucky enough to have Coach Thomas in the late 70's and early 80's at Colonial Christian School in Homestead, Florida. Not only was he an exemplary teacher, outstanding coach, senior class advisor, yearbook advisor ,mentor but most importantly he was a true friend. I cant count the numerous talks we had whether it related to sports or life. I could count on him for a honest, logical opinion. I really enjoyed his laugh and if anyone truly got to know him, you know what I mean. See you in heaven Coach, Dr. Warren Paquin

Thank you "Coach" for being my mentor, professor, friend and coach at PC. What I loved most about you is how you taught young men and women how to live out their lives for God. Thank you for the example you lived everyday. We share a lot of great memories from PC and the '89-'91 basketball team. We look forward to the homecoming in heaven. Sue, we love you and will continue to pray for you.

Coach Thomas was my favorite teacher at Heartland, I loved his classes and am going to miss him very much. He loved his students and you could see it in his teaching. I'll never forget playing Jeopardy with Alex Quebec in his classes and singing Mansion Over the Hilltop every morning. We love Mrs. Sue and are praying for you.

"Coach Thomas was by far my favorite teacher! I know that he genuinely cared about me as well as my other students HBBC. I am still enjoying his Frog Beanie Babies that he gave me- what a blessing. He was a Great Man of God that loved the Lord and served Him daily. Thank you coach for blessing my life!"

He was my hero.
He was my friend.
He was faithful to God
Until the very end.

Though we aren't together;
Though we are apart,
I will always carry
The TRUTH he taught in my heart.

I hurt to know he's gone.
I wish we had more time.
To tell him that I'm sorry,
I would have given every dime.

Though my heart is broken.
Though we've lost an amazing man.
There is peace in my heart,
To know that he's at God's right hand.

I will tell my son about him,
And hope that he grows to be,
Like the man who lived his life as
The very definition of Christianity.

He was my hero.
He was my friend.
I will carry on his love and TRUTH,
Until the very end.

I love you Coach!

Mrs. Thomas,
I am sorry for your loss. Coach Thomas will be missed. I still have my American literature book from his class at PC. I've used it for Toastmasters. Anytime I see that book and notes from his other classes, I will remember him. He was an encouragement to me when my brother committed suicide in '91. My thoughts and prayers are with you, the rest of your family, and Heartland.

I loved Bro. Thomas' classes. He was one of my two favorite teachers at Pacific Coast. I am now a missionary in Madagascar. I used what he taught me to make a curriculm to teach English as a second language. We teach hundreds of people English each week in our learning center and then we get to share the gospel with them. All that Bro. Thomas taught me will live on in the lives of the Malagasy people. Thank you Bro. Thomas!" Our prayers are with the Thomas Family.
