Opal Capps Obituary

Opal Isabell, 79, longtime OKC resident, died 12/27/03 in Edmond, OK. Opal was born in Kingston, OK on 2/17/1924 to Edgar and Elizabeth Norton. She attended school at Mead, OK. She married Leon Capps in 1944. They lived in Los Angeles for 14 years, then moved back to Oklahoma City in 1964. Opal was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leon, brothers Hubert, Orville, and Arlie. She is survived by a sister Edith, many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends. She will always be remembered as a dedicated volunteer, working with such organizations as Mobile Meals, Election Board, and the Oklahoma Opry. Services will be at l0 a.m., Wed. 12/31/03 at Guardian West Chapel. There will be a visitation On Tues. 12/30/03, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. GUARDIAN WEST 41 & N. MacArthur 495-9292
