Jane Pearl Stevens Foret

Jane Foret Obituary

Jane (Janie) Pearl Stevens, was born in Oklahoma City, on Jan. 13th, 1947, and died May 10, 2006. Janie was the daughter of the late Sgt. Major Winfred Stevens of Frederick, OK and Ollie Mae Bowman Stevens. She graduated May 1964 from Capitol Hill High School and received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Central State University in May 1987. Janie was named the Outstanding Sociology Student for 1986-1987. Our beloved Mom will continue to be remembered and loved by those who remain behind. She is greatly mourned by her children, Steven Josef Nickolas Foret of OKC and DeShan Marie Foret; brother, Jerry W. Stevens of Pico Rivera, CA.; aunt, Helen Caldwell of Carnegie, OK; and Leroy A Foret of Raceland, LA. She was a wonderful mother to her animal children, Barrymore and Fluffy Mae. Mom will be remembered for her quick wit, warm laugh, and great love of animals. She had an eye for glitter, gold and anything that sparkled. She was a champion of the underdog and a fighter for society's less able. She held God's word in her heart and believed in helping others. She is finally at peace, free of pain and suffering. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be 10:00 AM, Thursday, May 18th, at Guardian West Chapel with interment 12:30 pm, at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle.
