Imogene Young

Imogene Young, age 80, of Midwest City, Oklahoma was born to William Steven and Edna (Potter) Laing on June 21, 1924 in Tipton, Oklahoma and passed from this life on September 16, 2004 in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Mrs. Young was a member of Meadowood Baptist Church. She enjoyed her grandchildren and was a very devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Young was also a volunteer at Midwest Regional Hospital from 1986 until 1995. She married Albert Young on July 14, 1940 in Altus, Oklahoma. She is survived by: 3 sons & 3 daughters in law: Sammy Young and wife Judy of Midwest City, OK, Jim Young and wife Beverly of Midwest City, OK, Ron Young and wife Pauline of Midwest City, OK; 1 sister: Marie Stevens of California; 6 grandsons and 1 granddaughter: Scott and wife Alicia, Shelley and husband Ben, Peter, Jason and wife Laura, Greg and wife Amy, Matthew, Jared; 11 great grandchildren: Colby, Grant, Samantha, Emily, Chandler, Matthew, Samuel, Katie, Austin, Lainey, Madeline. She was preceded in death by: parents, husband, 4 brothers and 4 sisters. In lieu of flowers send memorials to: American Cancer Society or Meadowood Baptist Church (Joy Group, Master's Market). Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, September 20, 2004 at Meadowood Baptist Church, Midwest City, OK. Interment will be 3:00 P.M. at Frederick Cemetery, Frederick, OK.
