 June 7, 1925 - May 13, 2012 HARRAH Corrine Shetley, Harrah, OK, age 86, was born on June 7, 1925, in Hugo, OK. She was the daughter of Ray & Vergie (Tillman) Sossamon. She left this life on Sunday, May 13, 2012, in Harrah, OK. Corrine loved her family, collecting cookbooks and costume jewelry. She tried and accomplished almost every craft/handwork possible, from sewing to knitting, crocheting, to painting and beadwork. She spent most of her adult years as a homemaker and was a wonderful cook. Corrine enjoyed hearing Albert play music with friends and family, joining in with her drum playing and camping out. In earlier years, she worked at Little Giant Pump Company and Southwestern Bell Telephone Company. Together, she and Albert owned a bait shop on Lake Eufaula below the dam. Corrine and Albert married on July 14, 1945, and were married 67 years after meeting and knowing each other only two weeks. Corrine was preceded in death by her parents, both sons, Bryan G. Shetley, Charles Alvin Shetley, grandson, Gary Shetley, two brothers, Jack & John Henry Sossamon and brother-in-law, Eugene Gilleland. She is survived by her husband, Albert Shetley, Harrah, OK; 2 daughters-in-law, Marsha Shetley, Harrah, OK, LahVonna Shetley, Midwest City, OK; 2 sisters, Betty Hosier, Oklahoma City, OK, Audrey Gilleland, Oklahoma City, OK; 3 brothers & 5 sisters-in-law, Bill & Frieda Sossamon, Midwest City, OK, Loyd & Delores Sossamon, Moore, OK, Floyd & Minnie Sossamon, Edmond, OK, Dovie Sossamon, Oklahoma City, OK, Mary Sossamon, Harrah, OK; 6 grandchildren, Amy & Jeff Heskett, Crescent, OK, Chris & Devin Shetley, Tuttle, OK, Cory & Maria Shetley, Guthrie, OK, Tammy Dale, Tuttle, OK, Courtney & Joe Koster, Midwest City, OK, Ryan & Crystal Shetley, Moore, OK; 17 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. Services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, May 18, 2012, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel, Harrah, OK. Interment will be at 12:30 PM at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery, Norman, OK.
