May 6, 1969 - July 5, 2013 MIDWEST CITY Donald Leon Chew, Jr., "Donnie" was born May 6, 1969, in Oklahoma City, OK to Donald Chew, Sr. & Carolyn Lawyer. After an incredibly long, hard-fought, battle with cancer, he passed away in Midwest City Friday, July 5, 2013. Donnie was a simple man. He was a "T-shirt and jeans" kind of guy, who loved the ordinary things in life. He enjoyed working on his Mustang, fishing, and listening to music. Nothing, however, brought him more joy than his family, especially his grandson, Sevyn. Donnie touched many people in his life and counted them all as friends. He was always there for you, loved to laugh with you, and let you know exactly where you stood with him. Donnie is survived by his father, Donald Chew, Sr. and wife Maria; mother, Carolyn Lawyer; son, Trystan Adams; and his grandson, Sevyn. He will also be missed by his two sisters, Denise Chew and Derrinda Baker and husband David; a brother, Butch Lawyer and wife Rhonda; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. Services celebrating Donnie's life will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9 at Candlewood Chapel in Midwest City, under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery.
