June 30, 1933 - January 8, 2013 BETHANY Dorothy Louise Wilson was born to Wray and Mary Wilson on June 30, 1933 at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City. Dorothy was baptized at Our Ladies Catholic Church. Dorothy graduated from Bishop McGuinness Catholic High School in 1951 and St. Anthony School of X-Ray in 1953. After graduation, she worked at St. Anthony Hospital for four years as an X-Ray Technician and later for Dr. Bill Miller for five years. Dorothy met her late husband, Dr. Delbert Hugh McGinnis, while he was attending medical school and they married on December 27, 1959. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her sons, daughter and their families. Dorothy enjoyed spending her summers at her cabin in Colorado. She also enjoyed traveling the world, fishing, cooking, OU girl's basketball games and going to all her grandchildren's sporting events. Dorothy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Delbert of 48 years. She is survived by five children and 13 grandchildren: Kathy Scott and husband Rick of Piedmont, OK, Michael McGinnis M.D. and wife Jane of Edmond, OK, Donald McGinnis M.D. and wife Stacy of Edmond, OK, John McGinnis and Maria Shaer of Simpsonville, SC, and Mark McGinnis and wife Bonnie of Mustang, OK; her cherished grandchildren, Kristen, Ashley and Kassidy Scott, Kelsey, Kaelan and Camryn McGinnis, Austin, Tyler, Connor and Garrett McGinnis, Patrick and Mitchell McGinnis and Aspen McGinnis; her sisters, Mary Ann Geilich of OKC, Mickey Vogel of Buda, TX; and one brother, Bill Wilson and wife Mona of OKC. Special thanks to all the hospice staff, and the many doctors and nurses who provided compassionate health care to her. In addition, friends and family members who loved her in this life. Viewing will be Thursday and Friday, 9am-9pm. Wake Service will be held Friday, 7:00pm at Mercer-Adams, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 12, 10:00am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 5024 N. Grove, Warr Acres.
