Oct 30, 1930 - Oct 7, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY George was born to Ethredge & Marguerite Hughbanks, of Idabel, OK. He left high school and joined the Army at 18. He had basic training in Fort Hood, TX, then signed up and went to Germany for four years and married a German girl named Ilsa and had two children, Dennis and Janette. He came back to America and had a baby girl, Ruby Jane. She passed away at 6 weeks old. George was at Fort Sill, OK in Lawton. He received an honorable discharge as Sgt. at Fort Sill, then he went to Barber School in Oklahoma City, then to New York City and finished Beauty School. He was a barber/beautician for 40 years. He retired and went into the business of installing windows and beautiful doors. He was a very hard worker. His health began to leave him, and he was in a nursing home for eight years. He died at Heritage Manor Nursing Home, OKC, OK, and is survived by sister, Peggy J. Jones, Bethany, OK. He will be laid to rest in Forrest Hill Cemetery, Idabel, OK.
