March 21, 1936 - Dec 29, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Helen Van (Sanford) Groschick, 76, died December 29, 2012, in OKC. She was born March 21, 1936, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was adopted at an early age by James P. "Pick" Sanford and Martha Van (Edwards) Sanford, of Seminole, Oklahoma. She graduated from Seminole High School in 1954. She attended Oklahoma A&M College, Stillwater, Oklahoma, (now Oklahoma State University) for a short period and attended a business college in OKC. She worked in the retail jewelry business for many years and retail music sales for eight years. She met her husband, Paul E. Groschick, in OKC and was married in Seminole, Oklahoma, on November 6, 1960. She was preceded in death by her father in 1941 and mother in 1975; her grandson, S/SGT Tyler Paul Groschick, 22, USAF; parents-in-law, Erwin G. "Flip" Groschick, Sr. and Evelyn Randquist Groschick, of Dill City, OK; and brother-in-law, Erwin G. Groshick, Jr., Clinton, OK. Survivors include her husband, Paul; son, Todd Sanford Groschick, OKC; grandson, S/SGT Taylor Jackson Groschick, 23, USAF; and granddaughter, A1C Tory Christian Groschick, 21, USAF. She is also survived by her sister, Jimmie Gould (Dennis), of Layton, UT; sisters-in-law: Carolyn Evetts (Kim), Fort Worth, TX; and Gene Groschick, Clinton, OK; brother-in-law, Carl Groschick, OKC; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
