JOSEPH MANORA Obituary
Mar. 6, 1947 - Nov. 17, 2013 MIDWEST CITY Dr. Joseph Manora, 66, of Midwest City, OK, passed away November 17, 2013. He was born in Montgomery, AL March 6, 1947 to Malachi Manora, Sr. and Willie Mae (Barnett) Manora. He graduated from Booker T. Washington High School (Class of 1965) in Montgomery, AL. He continued his higher education getting an Associate's degree in Engineering Technology from Rose State College, a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Business Administration at Oklahoma City University, and a Doctorate's degree in Business Administration from La Salle University. He served his country and retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1988 as a SMSGT touring in Greece, Italy, Thailand, as well as Vietnam. He owned and managed the Manora Collegiate Consulting Firm and worked for the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration for over 23 years. He loved gardening, cooking and being with his family. He also enjoyed watching OU Football with his son. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Kareem Ralon Manora and Hiram Manora; one daughter: Shalilah Manora; three brothers: John Manora, Sr., Jimmy Lee Manora and John Kent Manora; and two sisters: Mary Belle (Manora) Purdue and Lily Manora. Survivors include his wife: Odessa (Rozier) Manora; one daughter: Shamara Manora; one son: Ramil Manora; three brothers: Malachi Manora, Jr. (wife - Lottie), Carl Manora (wife - Diane), and Rufus Manora (wife - Cathie); one sister: Julia Mae (Manora) Williams; one brother-in-law: John Frank Rozier (wife - Cathy); and a host of other nieces, nephews and family members. Funeral services will be held at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home at 6:00pm Wednesday, November 20, 2013, with funeral services and burial at 1:00pm Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Montgomery, Al (Macedonia Community).
