John E. McAfee, 49, of OKC, died Fri., Oct. 24, 2003. John was born on Oct. 16, 1954, in McAlester, OK to Dr. George Edward & Betty J. Edmondson McAfee. John graduated from McAlester High School and went to East Central University in Ada graduating with his Bachelors degree. He then went to the University of Oklahoma graduating with his Masters in Computers. John was retired and lived in OKC. He was a member of the Downed Bikers Club and the Sons of the American Legion Post #1340 in OKC. John loved working on motorcycles, computers and participating in charity rides. John was killed riding his motorcycle. Survived by aunts and uncles: Grace Wynne of Seattle, WA, Mary Blake of Lewiston, ID, Frank McAfee of Seattle, WA, Robert McAfee of Albuquerque, NM, Vera Walker of Burkburnett, TX, Bill Edmondson of Rattan, OK, numerous cousins. Preceded in death by parents and a brother, Kenneth McAfee. Funeral service 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2003 at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester, OK with Dr. Archie Lawrence officiating. Family requests memorials be made to the American Legion Children's Home, 1300 Summers Place, Ponca City, OK 74604.
