IzardJuly 30, 1944 - October 8, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Karen Nell "Margie" Izard passed away peacefully on October 8, 2013. She is at rest beside her son at Sunny Lane Cemetery in Del City, Oklahoma. A memorial service to celebrate her life is scheduled on Saturday, November 30, 2013, at 11 AM, The Colcord Hotel, 15 N. Robinson, Oklahoma City, OK 73102. Margie leaves behind her husband Glynn Izard, sister Sharon Hoaglin, daughter Rachelle Izard and her husband Scott, son Ryan Gillin and his wife Jessica, step-daughter Glynnda Wallingford and her husband Gary, step-son Ross Izard and his wife Dana, as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, friends and loved ones. She is preceded in death by her parents AE and Billie Gann; brothers Donnie, Dan and Billy Ray Gann; her son Keith Gillin and his wife Sally; and step-son David Izard. Margie was born July 30, 1944 in Nixon, Texas and grew up in San Antonio. In the early 1980s she moved with her family to Oklahoma City, where she owned several small businesses while making a safe and loving home for her family. She raised her children, cared for her elderly mother, took in family, neighbors and strangers and gave comfort and help to anyone in need. She always made sure her family was stable and strong, even during her darkest days. She was the person to call when you needed help, advice, money, or a great piece of pie. When someone was facing adversity, she liked to say, "Everything is workable." And then, she would sit down with them and work it out. She was a best friend to many and we look forward to seeing her on the other side.
