WilliamsNov 2, 1920 - July 27, 2012 MIDWEST CITY Kathleen Marie Williams was born Nov. 2, 1920, in Tomaha, OK to the late Mary Ann (Brantley) & Dave Hill. She was the fourth child born into the family, and she had three sisters and four brothers. They lived in many places in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Texas, wherever work was available for their Daddy in the coal mines, for the railroad and as a farm laborer. Kathleen loved school and was a lifelong learner. In her retirement, she enjoyed reading Christian novels. While working in OKC at her cousin's boarding home as housekeeper and cook, she met Ennis Forbes Williams. They married in OKC on Oct. 28, 1940. To this union were born three sons: Richard Forbes; David Ray; and baby James Monroe, who died shortly after birth. Kathleen & Ennis worked hard and provided a loving home for their sons. They attended church regularly. She continued to read her Bible and devotionals daily until her recent illness. As a young bride during WWII, Kathleen worked at Oklahoma City Air Logistics Center, now Tinker Air Force Base, during 1942-1945 repairing airplane engines. They lived in Guthrie, OK until 1957, when they purchased another home in Midwest City, OK. She loved being a homemaker, growing gardens with Ennis, canning, sewing, cooking and baking. She was a cheerful and conscientious worker, always willing to help. Kathleen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Kathleen & Ennis were happily married for 47 years until his death. She continued living in the family home until moving into her apartment in Mangum, OK in Oct. 2009. She maintained her apartment and affairs, made new friends, attended church and continued to drive herself about Mangum until she suffered a stroke on Sept. 17, 2011. She had been a cheerful resident of Mangum's Grace Living Center until her death on July 27, 2012, at Elk View Hospital in Hobart, OK.
