July 7, 1925 - May 14, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Kathleen L. Woodrow was born to Thomas and Marian Pexton on July 7, 1925, at her grandmother's home in Guthrie, Oklahoma. She passed from this life on Monday, May 14, 2012, at her home of over 50 years in Oklahoma City. Kathleen enjoyed living in Guthrie, OK and traveling to the World's Fair in Chicago in 1934. She also lived on a farm near Tishomingo, OK and in Grand Rapids, MI. In Tishomingo, Kathleen graduated from Murray State College in May 1946 and got a civil service job with the government. In 1968, she graduated with honors from Central State College. Kathleen married Harry E. Woodrow on September 5, 1947, at her parents' farm in Tishomingo. In 1951, Kathleen and Earl became lifelong members of the Southwest Church of Christ. They were married for 57 years. During her married years, she traveled to each of the 50 states, Mexico, Canada, England, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Wales, and Scotland. She loved genealogy and was a longtime member of UDC and DAR. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Edwin, Vernon, and Ralph Pexton; and one sister, Edith Pexton. She is survived by a son, Robert and wife Sandi Woodrow; daughter, Linda Woodrow; son, Carl and wife Carla Woodrow; daughter, Debra and husband Ron Griffin; three granddaughters, Rachae Rightnowar, Shannon Vogel, and Ashton Woodrow; four grandsons, Christopher and Matthew Woodrow, David and Daniel Griffin; one great-granddaughter, Jadyn Vogel; and a host of other relatives and Christian friends. She will be deeply missed. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Southwest Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the Cashion Cemetery. Family visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at the Advantage Funeral Service South.
