April 20, 1947 - January 15, 2013 WARR ACRES Kathlyn "Kathy" Louise Waugh Segobia died on January 15, 2013. She was born April 20, 1947 in Oklahoma City. Kathy was the 2nd child of Pal and Woody Waugh. She is survived by her loving husband, David Segobia and her children, Sheri Lou Rinker, living in Wichita Falls, TX, Amy Kathlyn Rinker, New Orleans, LA and son Craig Rinker of Oklahoma City. Kathy's father, Woody Waugh, preceded her in death.Kathy lived the majority of her life in Oklahoma City. She attended Putnam City Schools, K-12 and graduated in 1965. One of her most favorite memories was recently working with classmates on their 45th class reunion and becoming reacquainted with longtime friends. After high school, Kathy attended Oklahoma State University where she was a member of Delta Zeta Sorority. Later, Kathy was employed by Totco Oil and Gas, an energy service company, for 29 years. As an executive assistant, Kathy was known for her diligent work ethic and her attention to details. She was a devoted employee until her retirement in 2008. Kathy was very proud of the year she served as President of the Desk and Derrick Club, a philanthropic organization of the petroleum executives' assistants and secretaries. In 2000, she was also elected Desk and Derrick's Regional Director of District VI.Kathy made many friends in her life throughout her work and activities. She was a longtime member of Messiah Lutheran Church. Kathy will best be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor. She loved being with family and friends and sharing memories. She will also be remembered for her excellent cooking skills, especially for her gumbo, dirty rice and other Cajun delights, but also including her infamous red velvet cake. No family get together was as good without Kathy's cooking.Additional family and friends left behind include Kathy's mother, Pal Waugh, Edmond; and four brothers and sisters-in-law, including Scott and Sheri Waugh, Edmond, Mark and Paula Waugh, Guthrie, Kent and Pam Waugh, Palm Harbor, FL, and Blake and Barb Waugh, Vancouver, WA.A memorial service will be held at Messiah Lutheran Church at 10:00am on Friday, January 18.
