Harrison September 24, 1942-October 22, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Leonard Gene Harrison, of Oklahoma City, OK, born September 24, 1942 in Bartlesville, OK to Leonard Everett and Lucille D. Harrison, passed peacefully on October 22, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Lea Vineyard Harrison, his parents, and 2 sisters, Lois Erwin and Doris Victor. He is survived by 2 sons, Leonard Robert Harrison and wife Christina of Oklahoma City, and Lyndon Richard Harrison and wife Clare and grandchildren, Vincent Marshall Harrison, Lauren Grace Harrison and Timothy Grant Harrison of Santa Clarita, CA; sisters, Mary Jackson and husband Harold of Ringling, OK, and Linda Nichols and Sharron Roach, both of OKC; and numerous nephews and nieces. Gene received his Bachelor's degree in Psychology from The University of Oklahoma and his commission in the United States Air Force in 1963 and his MBA from the University of Arkansas in 1974. Following retirement from the Air Force in 1984 as a Major after 20 years of service, Gene pursued a second career as a Commercial Real Estate Broker. He and his wife, Janet, returned from California in 2004 and made Oklahoma their home. He enjoyed photography, was an avid reader and collector but, most of all, spending time with his grandchildren was his greatest joy. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
