May 16, 1947 - Aug. 31, 2013 NICOMA PARK Linda Pearl Dawson went home to be with the Lord on August 31, 2013. She married her high school sweetheart James Dawson on July 12, 1965. They have been best friend for over 51 years and have four children and four grandchildren; son James Eric Dawson, his wife Kristin, and their daughters Laney Kate, and Josie Elise of Wiley, Texas; daughter Kimberly Dawson of Dallas, Texas; daughter Melissa Michelle Dawson-Townsend of Piedmont, a son Mason and a daughter Madison; son Kevin Ray Dawson and wife Andrea Grace of Oklahoma City; and one sister Joyce Marie Lowry of Oklahoma City; niece Marvina Lowry-Brook, her husband Jon of Massachusetts, and their two daughters and one son. Linda fought a long battle with liver damage, receiving over 400 units of blood in the last 31/2 years. In November of 2011 she fought cancer which came back in March of 2013. Linda loves the Lord and has been a member of Nicoma Park Church of Christ for over 30 years. She also loves camping, skating, bowling and working with children. She has been a member of Girl Scouts for over 55 years and retired from Redlands Council of Girl Scouts as a shop manager. Linda is fantastic and greatly loved more than words can say. It is hard to let go but she is no longer in pain. Linda is enjoying the peaceful ways and calm ways of our Lord Jesus Christ. Love you, James and Family. Services will be 2 P.M.
