Feb 23, 1926 - Dec 20, 2012 MIDWEST CITY Lois R. Whiteman, 86, of Midwest City, OK, died Thursday, December 20, 2012. Lois was born February 23, 1926, in Anadarko, OK, daughter of John Wolfe and Amelia Wolfe Bates. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Tommy Whiteman, Sr; son, Tommy Whiteman, Jr. and wife, Alicia; three grandchildren, Dr. Kristie Haller and husband Tim, Jamie Thompson and husband Matt, and Tommy Whiteman III and wife Timilyn; five great-grandchildren, Logan Hobart and Faith Haller, and Talya, Tayce, and Tytus Whiteman; also, sisters, Britamart Ware and Ahnawake Clark. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, David K. Whiteman; and brother, John Wolfe. Lois was an LPN; an executive secretary; but mostly, a homemaker; the president of the PTA in Midwest City schools for many years; played the piano and French horn; a longtime member of First Southern Baptist Church in Del City; and a great cook. Her most enjoyable moments were the times spent with her immediate family attending family activities and dinners, sports activities, and dancing at pow-wows. Many thanks to friends and relatives who inquired about Lois during her illness, especially her dear friend, Linda Azure. Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 27, 2012, at 2 p.m. at the Sunnylane Family Church, 4221 S.E. 41st in Del City, OK, with interment at Arlington Memorial Gardens in OKC.
