(Salyer) Campbell Dec 12, 1920 - Dec 18, 2012 GUTHRIE Marjorie Ruth Campbell passed from this world Tuesday, December 18th, after a long struggle with Alzheimer's disease. Born Marjorie Ruth Salyer on December 12, 1920, in Hindsville, Arkansas, "Marji" lived most of her life in Oklahoma. Although her childhood was spent in the Tahlequah-Muskogee area, she moved to Oklahoma City in the 1940s, where she married and raised her family. Marjorie's main goal in life was taking care of her family and spending time with them. Those of us lucky enough to know Marji in her younger days can only smile when thinking of her antics. Always the fun mom, open-minded with an unforgettable sense of humor, the Campbell house was the popular place to hang out. Blessed are all of us whose lives she touched. She had lived in Willow Creek Nursing Home in Guthrie the last 10 years, where she was privileged to have the most wonderful caregivers possible. Marjorie was preceded in death by two sisters, Clara and Pauline; one brother, Chuck; husband, Warren H. Campbell; son, Clark Craig Campbell; and grandson, Brett Wayne Laubach. Survivors include daughters: Susie Shields-Derichsweiler, of OKC; and Regina Campbell-Crotty, of Stillwater; grandsons: Michael Kent Laubach, of Yukon; Clark Campbell Crotty and Logan Anton Crotty, of Stillwater; and great-grandson, Justin Brett Laubach, of Yukon. Surviving siblings are two sisters: Dorace Marie D'Alessandro (and daughter, Petrina), of Yonkers, NY; and Mary Ann Walley, of Lawton; and one brother, Jimmy Ballew, of Erick, OK. No public services will be held. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Gallo Funeral Home, Guthrie. The family encourages donations to the
in lieu of flowers.
