Oct 10, 1942 - Dec 14, 2012 BOISE, ID Michael Jay Cook, 70, of Boise, Idaho, formerly of Oklahoma City, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012, at a Boise hospital. Graveside services, with military honors, will be held at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery in Boise, Idaho, on Thursday, January 3, 2012. Arrangements are under the direction of Rost Funeral Home, McMurtrey Chapel in Mountain Home, Idaho. Michael was born October 10, 1942, to Burl J. and Gladys M. Cook, in Spokane, Washington. He served in the U.S. Air Force. Michael lived in Oklahoma City, and worked at U.S. Security West until a major bicycling accident in September of 1997 made him a quadriplegic. Following the accident, he moved to Idaho to be closed to his parents. Michael is survived by his mother, Gladys Cook, of Mountain Home, Idaho; and his brother, David Cook, of Vashon Island, Washington. He was preceded in death by his father, Burl, in 2010.
