MICHAEL HOWELL Obituary

June 20, 1953 - June 15, 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY Michael departed this earthly life on June 15, 2014. He was born at Tinker Air Force Base in Midwest City, Oklahoma, on June 20, 1953, to Sue Carol Chaney and Gilbert Howell. Michael medically retired February 1994 after working at Lord & Taylor in Dallas, Texas, and for TG&Y national headquarters in Oklahoma City. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Major Dean Howell. He is survived by three sisters, Pamela Dale Silk, Deborah Sue Judge, and Jocelyn Carol Howell; his life partner, Donald Cody; and many other family and friends. A memorial service will be held at Expressions Church, 2245 N.W. 39th in OKC on June 19, 2014, at 2 p.m.

Michael & I became friends in the early 70's. The 80's & 90's were tough on all of "us". I hope his "crossing-over" was gentle. He was an esteemed steward of the Great Spirit & has now claimed the "promise" he earned. I'll always remember his side-splitting contagious laugh.
