Oct 21, 1931 - Nov 16, 2012 HATBORO, PA Paul Allan Berman passed away the afternoon of November 16, 2012. He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Ceila and Louis Berman. He graduated from Central High School in 1949 and was the 191st class. He was an Eagle Scout and a Sea Scout. He went to the University of Pennsylvania, earning a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Paul worked in the Gas Turbine Division at Westinghouse Electric Corporation, published research articles and received seven patents. As Manager of Combined Systems Engineering, he created the design of the first Westinghouse PACE combined cycle power plant sold to Public Service of Oklahoma and installed at Lawton. Paul is survived by his first wife, Arlene; daughters: Lynne R. Vincent, of Oklahoma City; and Lori B. Berkowitz; his second wife, Sandra; two stepdaughters, and seven grandchildren. Paul gave his body to science for Alzheimer's research. The memorial service will be held November 21st at the home of Lynne R. Vincent of Oklahoma City.
