October 27, 1928 - July 10, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Revere A. Young was born October 27, 1928 in Morrilton, AR to Revere and Augustine Hammons Young. He passed away July 10, 2012 in OKC. He graduated from Central High School in Muskogee, OK and attended Northeastern State College in Tahlequah, OK. He was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the United States Air Force Reserve May 12, 1950 upon graduation from Aviation Cadets at Vance Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Revere completed nearly forty years of military service, active and reserve, retiring in 1988 with the rank of Brigadier General. He was predeceased by his parents and his son, Robert Mark. He is survived by his wife Mary and daughter Dr. Lillian Diane Young. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 13, at Smith and Kernke Chapel, 14624 N. May Ave., OKC, OK, with interment service to follow at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum in Muskogee, OK.
