"Bob"May 26, 1928 - Sept. 16, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY Robert James "Bob" Watson was born on May 26, 1928 in Manitou, Oklahoma to Lester and Ruth (Dooley) Watson. He went to be with the Lord on September 16, 2012. Bob married Evelyn Bowling on March 6, 1954 in El Reno, OK. They were married 49 years until her death in 2003. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 3 sisters. Bob was a heavy truck/ trailer mechanic for H&H Equipment from 1954 to 1967, after which he began a 25 year career with Hobbs/Fruehauf Trailers, retiring in 1993. In 1994 he and Evelyn fulfilled their dream by retiring to their beautiful log cabin nestled in the woods at Lake Eufaula. They remained there until 2003 when health issues brought them back to Oklahoma City. He is survived by 2 daughters, Donna Waldron and husband Ralph of Mustang, Roberta Lee of McLoud; 1 son, Jim Watson and wife Susan of Oklahoma City; 2 sisters, Deva Moore of Meeker and Zorena Newnam of Shawnee; along with 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his faithful buddy, Sam the Dachshund. Services will be 1:00PM Thursday, September 20, 2012, at Council Road Baptist Church, 2900 N. Council Road, Bethany, Oklahoma followed by interment at Choctaw Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 19, from 6:00PM-8:00PM at the Advantage Funeral Home 7720 S. Pennsylvania, Oklahoma City.
