Dec 27, 1934 - April 27, 2012 BETHANY "Tal," "TL," (Dad, Pop or Papa), age 77, of Bethany, OK, passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012. He was born in Byars, OK and graduated from Wayne High School. Retired Founder and CEO of Office World, BOSS Industries and a number of other enterprises over his lifetime, he was more recently known for his work in the ministry and as a Bible scholar. A Christian, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and lived life to its fullest. He was a proud former member of the Army's 101st Airborne and 502nd Parachute Infantry Regiment (502nd PIR) during the late 50s. Survived by his son, Talmage L. (Les) Barr of Yukon, OK; daughters: Lanya Dyan Blodgett and spouse Kevin Blodgett of White Deer, TX; Jana Rucker and spouse Barry Rucker of Satellite Beach, FL; Larissa Barr Sonoda of Edmond, OK; and his grandchildren, Kyler and Kelli Blodgett, Jamie and John Rucker, Gabryelle and Joshua Barr-Sonoda. His wife of over 50 years, Carol Lois Barr, of Ada, OK; prededed him on January 16, 2012. Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Bethany Church of Christ, 3301 N. Rockwell, Bethany, OK. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Juvenile Diabetes Association.
