Feb. 13, 1934 - Dec. 27, 2012 OKLAHOMA CITY A great and powerful man left us on Dec. 27, 2012 and into the LORD'S wide open arms. The services were held on Dec. 29. He was a highly respected husband, father, friend and family scion. He was a friend to everyone and left a down-to-earth impact upon all those who knew and met him. His wife Darlene Hammons passed two years prior and his services were held on their 56th wedding anniversary under a full moon. He is survived by his two children, Carla R. Hammons and Thomas J. Hammons, and so many extended loving and caring family and friends in OKC, California, Alabama, Colorado, Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, and Georgia. He will never be forgotten by those whose lives he touched with his simple words of wisdom, wit and his impressive passion for life. A great man with a legacy of respect and admiration that can never be denied and will be with love forever remembered and reverently missed by all whose lives he touched.
