April 14, 1927 - Oct 7, 2012 MIDWEST CITY William Ervin (Mr. Bill) went home to be with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on October 7, 2012. He was born in Bethany, OK to Elza and Gladus Ervin on April 14, 1927, later moved to south Oklahoma City, attended Wheeler Elementary School, Soldier Creek Elementary School, graduated from Choctaw High-school in 1945, and immediately joined the Navy. He and Marian Loraine Todd were married June of 1952. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Brenda Ervin, LaPlace, LA; son, Franklin Ervin, Midwest City, OK; daughter, Marcie Anderson, Waurika, OK; and daughter, Julie Sawyer (Mike), of Ozone, AR; granddaughter, Nancy Wright (Dan), of Perkins, OK; grandson, Robert Sawyer, of Ozone, AR; granddaughter, Jessica Sawyer, of Ozone, AR; granddaughter, Ginny Anderson, of Waurika, OK; and great-granddaughter, Alayna Hardee, of Perkins, OK; brother, Elmer Ervin (Verda), of Del City, OK; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Viola Hughes and Olive Hays; and brother, Leroy Ervin. He worked for Santa Fe Railroad as a Ticket Agent. He retired from the United States Navy as a Senior Chief in 1976, worked at Presbyterian Hospital as a buyer in the Purchasing Department and retired in 1992. He had a loving church family at Country Estates Baptist Church. He served as a deacon; loved singing in the choir, as long as his health permitted; and enjoyed working with children in Sunday School. He will be missed by all. Memorials can be made to the Fellowship Hall Building Fund of Country Estates Baptist Church. Services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, October 11, 2012, at Country Estates Baptist Church.
