Sept 1931 - Jan 2014 OKLAHOMA CITY In Loving Memory Buddy was born in Oklahoma City and was the oldest of two sons. He grew up in OKC and graduated from Capitol Hill High school. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged in 1952, he met a young lady named Geneva Jo; they fell in love and were married in May of 1953. Together, they raised four boys - Jeff, Greg, Mike, and Tony. Buddy worked for over 20 years as a truck driver for Lee Way Motor Freight. He was a member of the Local 886 and a 32 degree Mason, also a member of Siloam Lodge #276. In 1987, he went to work for Putnam City Public Schools and worked his way up to Grounds and Maintenance Supervisor. He retired at the age of 74 and was honored by the school in their yearbook for his 17 years of faithful service. After retiring, Buddy enjoyed staying at home working in his garden, sitting on his patio and waving at everyone who came by - and loved spending time with his family. Most of all, in his later years, he enjoyed spending time with his best friend, "Tillie," his dog. Forever in our hearts, we will miss this great man.
