Jan 1, 1930 - Nov 9, 2012 MIDWEST CITY Bill was born January 1, 1930, near Mulhall, OK to Frank and Grace Yost. He passed away November 9, 2012. Bill graduated from Mulhall High School in 1949. He married Violet Roberta Ferguson January 26, 1952, in Guthrie, OK. He went to what was then Oklahoma A&M College and graduated from there in 1954. He was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army in Germany and continued in the active reserves upon returning to the states. He attained the rank of captain. Bill went to work for the Oklahoma Employment Commission in 1956 as an interviewer in the Lawton office. He moved to the Hugo office to manage it and later moved to Shawnee as manager of that office. He was moved to the Oklahoma City office in 1972. He retired in 1986 as Chief of Benefits Division. Bill was a member of the American Legion Post 1000. He attended Midwest Boulevard Christian Church, where he served as a Deacon and helped with the Christmas for Others program. Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Violet; and parents, Frank and Grace Yost. He is survived by daughter, Debra Lynn McElreath, of Norman, OK; son, John David Yost and wife Heidi, of Mulhall, OK; son, Thomas "Tom" Scott Yost, of Midwest City, OK; also by four grandchildren, Grace and husband Rodney Helms, Wes Yost and wife Falon, Sarah Yost and Caitlyn McElreath; one great-grandson, Alex Drew Yost; brother, Don Yost and wife Maxine; and many other relatives and friends who will miss him, including lifelong friends, the Keith Fryer family. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 13, 2012, at the Midwest Boulevard Christian Church in Midwest City, with a graveside service at 2 p.m. at the Roselawn Cemetery in Mulhall, OK.
