Oct 1, 1927 - Jan 12, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY Billy Bob Guthery, Sr. was born on October 1, 1927, to Dennis Young and Mary Emma (Edmonston) Guthery on a farm south of Minco, Oklahoma. The family moved to Oklahoma City on his 16th birthday. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Duane Young, Donald Ray, Frank Olen, Harmon Aaron; and his sister, Bertha Josephine Cobb. On November 20, 1949, he married Lorene Claire Anderson at the Navina Methodist Church. Bill worked in dry cleaning shops most of his life, having bought his own plant in 1969, the Nichols Hills Cleaners. He and Lorene worked in the plant until 1983, when they turned the operation over to their two sons. They have been a member of Britton Baptist Church since November 1951. In his retirement, he organized tours with Jefferson Lines, and he bought and sold used bicycles. He is survived by his wife, Lorene Guthery; two sons, Raymond Eugene and Billy Bob Jr.; also one granddaughter, Savannah; and three great-grandchildren, Kenzie, Kaden and Kalleigh. The services will be Wednesday, January 16, 2013, at 10 a.m. at Britton Baptist Church, 1141 W. Britton Rd. Visitation will be Tuesday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. at Demuth Funeral Home.
