December 7, 1933 - June 16, 2012 SHAWNEE Bobby Lee Allen was born December 7, 1933 in Lewis, Atoka County, Oklahoma to John Sanford Allen and Maude Marie (Phillips) Allen. He left us on June 16, 2012 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 78 years of age. A celebration of his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Walker Funeral Service, 201 East 45th Street, Shawnee, Oklahoma 74084, (405) 273-4700. Bobby attended Atoka High School. He served in the United States Army from December 1955 to October 1957. While stationed in Alaska, he and his first wife, Anita Louise (Russell) had their first child, Deborah Kaye. He worked maintenance in schools for the Oklahoma City Board of Education until 1967. Bobby and Anita had two additional daughters, Vikey Lynn and Kimberly Ann, during this period. He earned an HVAC License and worked for Tucker's Plumbing, and then began a long career in the boiler room at the Western Electric Plant in western Oklahoma City. During this time, he and the family enjoyed numerous camping trips, built a vacation house at Lake Eufaula, and he taught Sunday School and was a Deacon at Windsor Hills Baptist Church. He married Betty Corley in 1981. In 1991, he married Emma Jean Baldwin. He retired from Western Electric in 1991 and he and Jean moved to Lake Eufaula to enjoy his passions: boating, waterskiing, fishing, motorcycling, jet skis, playing the guitar, traveling, and his horse Stormy. There he was a firefighter with the Texanna Volunteer Fire Department, but mainly enjoyed long visits from his children and grandchildren. In 2008 he and Jean moved to Shawnee, Oklahoma. Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister Sharon Kaye Allen, a brother Gary Haskell Allen, and his third wife Jean. He is survived by his brother & sister-in-law John Steven & Joann Allen, daughters & sons-in-law Deborah & Jerry Kincaid and Vikey & Billy Day, daughter Kimberly Kidd, five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
