March 5, 1949 - Sept. 16, 2013 SHAWNEE Dale Jay Duncan was born March 5, 1949 in Arkansas City, Kansas to George Lee & Leeorra Jeanne (Whitsell) Duncan, and passed from this life September 16, 2013, at the age of 64 years. Dale graduated from St. Joseph Catholic High School in Enid, as well as the University of Central Oklahoma. He was married to Claudia (McGough) Duncan for 33 years. Dale was an accountant by education and worked in the oil and gas industry in various positions, eventually to own and manage his own multi county oil and gas business.He was preceded in death by his father. Dale is survived by his wife, Claudia Duncan of the home; 2 sons & 1 daughter-in-law: Christopher Dale & Cacie Duncan, and Cole Edward Duncan, all of Moore; granddaughter: Chloe Brett Duncan of Moore; mother: Jeanne Carr of a Meeker nursing home; brother & sister-in-law: Richard & Kay Duncan of Topeka, KS; 4 nephews and 1 niece.Services were held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 19, 2013, at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Shawnee with Rev. Joseph Schwarz and Rev. Mark Mason officiating. Walker Funeral Services of Shawnee were in charge of arrangements.
