Aug 13, 1936 - July 22, 2013 BETHANY Our Lord touched the hand of Dale Allen Liles and took him home the evening of July 22, 2013. Dale was born in Blackwell, Oklahoma, August 13, 1936, to Calvin and Beulah Liles. As the son of a minister, he lived in several cities in Oklahoma. Dale graduated from Maud High School in 1954. Following high school, Dale served in the Air Force from 1954 to 1957. Dale married his wife, Lou Ellen Blagg, on December 23, 1956. Dale and Lou chose the state of Oklahoma to raise their family. His professional life included many positions in sales, as general manager, and as a business start-up consultant in Oklahoma as well as Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arkansas and Kansas. For many years, he served as a music evangelist, leading choirs and singing in churches. As an accomplished musician, Dale was noted as an exceptional pianist. Throughout Dale's life, he always loved singing and playing old southern gospel music. Dale enjoyed blessing others at any time, through the gift of music. Dale loved his community. Dale is survived by his wife, Lou Ellen, of the home; brother, Wayne and wife Lori, of Midland, Texas; and sister-in-law, Cleta Liles, of Lugoff, South Carolina. Surviving children include son, Greg, of Missouri; son, Jeff and wife Carole, of Kingfisher, OK; and daughter, Sherri Birkett and husband Tony, of British Columbia; grandchildren; Dale Liles, Erin Haas, Jennie Liles, Brady Liles, Dale Birkett, and Hillary Birkett; three great-grandchildren, and numerous loving nieces and nephews. Viewing will be on Friday, 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Saturday, July 27 at 2 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, with interment in Resurrection Cemetery with military honors.
