Obituary Condolences

Edgar A. Alexander (Ed or Jock), 88, of Eufaula, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the home of his son. He was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Mary Caroline Alexander. He was born August 2, 1914 in Chillicothe, OH to Orville P. and Hattie M. Alexander, the 6th of 7 children. He married his love, Caroline Tull of Chillicothe, in 1938. He was a Veteran of WWII, having served in the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division in Italy. After the war, he bought a farm near Dayton and went to work at Wright Patterson AFB. He transferred to Tinker AFB in 1952 and established a home in Midwest City, OK. A member of the MWC Masonic Lodge #532, he had been a mason for 59 years. With a talent for building, he designed and constructed his own homes on Lake Texoma and Lake Eufaula, where weekends were spent with his family and friends. He retired to Lake Eufaula in 1976, where he passionately enjoyed fishing, gardening, dancing and especially, the company of friends from Eufaula, Dayton and the Dayton VFW. he is survived by his son, Chris and wife Susan, and daughter Jan Lowrey; grandchildren, Amy, Todd, Travis, Kim and Lauren; great grandchildren, Nick and Kristen, all of the Oklahoma City area, and his lifelong friend, Mary Hamilton of Kettering, OH. Graveside services will be 12;00 p.m. Tues., Jan. 21, 2003 at Ft. Gibson National Cem., Ft. Gibson, OK. Formal visitation will be Fri., 6 - 8 p.m. and Sat., 2 - 4 p.m. at Bill Eisenhour S.E. Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to National Foundation for Cancer Research and Hospice of Oklahoma County. Bill Eisenhour Southeast 5005 S.E. 29 672-1321
