Sep. 26, 1934 - Nov. 18, 2012 YUKON Emil Hermann Albrecht, 78, was united with his heavenly father Nov. 18, 2012 at home in Yukon. He was born to Hermann and Klara Albrecht Sep. 26, 1934 in Flein, Germany. In 1959, he married Margaret Waldenmayer, a union that lasted more than 53 years. Emil moved to the United States in 1961, coming from Flein, Germany, settling in Yukon. He worked his way from "brooming" floors to become store manager for Snyder Foods, retiring in 2004. He was a charter member of Resurrection Lutheran Church, Yukon. Wife, Margaret; son, Eric Albrecht of Piedmont; daughter, Heidi Albrecht of Yukon; sisters, Lisa Sloan, Bethany, Dorle Peters, Oklahoma City; grandsons, Austin and Hunter; and granddaughters, Hailey, Savanah and Cheyenne survive him. Emil enjoyed the privilege of mentoring countless young people of the Yukon area, providing many their first jobs at Snyder's and instilling strong work ethic and customer service traits with a firm but affectionate hand. He volunteered recently with Integris Yukon Hospital. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Fri., Nov. 23, 2012, at Christ's Church (CCY) in Yukon. Interment will follow at Yukon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made in Emil's name to Crossroads Hospice, Resurrection Lutheran Church or the chairty of your choice.
