April 27, 1914 - Dec 22, 2012 MOORE Ernest, 98, passed away Saturday in Norman, OK. He was born in Cement, OK to Otto and Minnie (Dryden) Dahl. In 1932, Ernest graduated from high school in Houston, TX. Shortly after graduating, he went to work in the oil fields. In 1937, he married the love of his life, Angie Ferguson, and they shared over 50 years together. In 1942, Ernest was drafted by the U.S. Army and proudly served his country as a Combat Engineer. He re-enlisted in 1945 and went on to serve with the Army Signal Corps CeeBee's division. Upon his return, Ernest worked for Fain-Porter Drilling of OKC for 47 years and consulted for many years after that. He and his wife were members at Crossroads Cathedral for many years, where they were both very involved. He was an elder and usher at the church and also helped with many church projects, including constructing sets for the Easter Pageants and other productions. Aside from the church, family was very important to Ernest. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and wonderful friend. He will be missed by everyone in his life. Ernest was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Angie; and two sisters, Bertha Clingman and Vinita Woody. He is survived by his son, Mike Dahl and wife Debbie; a granddaughter, Stacy Chronister and husband Justin; a grandson, Barrett Dahl; one great-grandson, Cade Chronister; and loving family and friends.
