Anderson March 2, 1928 - March 7, 2013 OKLAHOMA CITY With his family by his side, Farris M. "Andy" Anderson, of Oklahoma City, died unexpectedly on March 7, 2013, in Oklahoma Heart Hospital at the age of 85 years. Farris M. "Andy" Anderson was born on March 2, 1928, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma, to Harry H. and Ethel (Hughes) Anderson. He grew up in Grady County and attended Ninnekah Public Schools, graduating in 1945. Following his education, he entered the United States Navy, serving during World War II. Upon his discharge on July 9, 1946, he began a long and successful career in restaurant equipment sales. He married Levita K. Bayless on June 25, 1975, and they settled in Oklahoma City. After over forty years in sales, he retired and enjoyed playing golf and traveling. He also enjoyed a passion for gardening and shared the fruits of his labor with family and friends. He was a godly man who loved his Lord. He is survived by his wife, Levita, of the home; children, Charlotte Anderson and husband Brad, of Edmond, Oklahoma, Harry Anderson, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Cheryl Jeffries and husband Jay, of Newcastle, Oklahoma, Christy Taylor and husband Jimmy, of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Skip Bayless, of New York City, New York, Rick Bayless and wife Deann, of Chicago, Illinois, and LuAnn Tucker and husband Mike, of Edmond, Oklahoma; a sister, Harriet Jo Sanders, of Mullins, South Carolina; his grandchildren, Tammy, Tristy, Piper, Meagan, Jennifer, Julie, Marissa, A.J., Lanie, Lane and Gracie; seven great-grandchildren; and his beloved companion and pet, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents. A private celebration of life was held in the family home. In lieu of flowers and gifts, a memorial has been established in his honor with , 5005 LBJ Freeway, Ste 250, Dallas, TX 75244.
